How to I open this on Mac? I don't get what i'm supposed to do with the code. Tried doing a executable but didn't work

After extracting the zip switch to that directory from Terminal with "cd path_to_the_client"
then run this:

Code: Select all

java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar hafen.jar -U http://game.havenandhearth.com/hres/ game.havenandhearth.com

Player alarm is in amber-res.jar /res/sfx/alarmplayer.res
Basically you would need to extract the jar, decode that specific res file (it will produce OGG file along with some other files), replace the OGG, encode into new res, and create new amber-res.jar.
I am using a small utility I hacked together for that which requires very specific setup... but there were some tools in old Wizard Tower for working with resources which should do the job.

Or send me the sound file in WAV or OGG format, I'll encode it, but you will need to manually add it to amber-res.jar (that is open the jar with your archive management application and replace the file) each time the client updates.

I accidently put my minimap in the top left corner and can no long see the bar at the top used to move it around (the bit with the buttons) So I have no way of bringing it into full view. I have tried re-downloading Amber Client and .haven files but it doesn't change.

Press reset windows from options menu.

Updated with the latest changes from vanilla.

Additionally,
Fixed:

Potential issue with timers when restarting the client.

Misc:

Remember position for Stone Casket, Chicken Coop, Extraction Press, Oven, Large Chest windows.
Changed ctrl+d to toggle only mine support radius. Trough/beehive radius is togglable now from
Display Settings.

Now that devs have reverted the changes to rams will the client need to be updated again?
Meaning; should I download update or wait for another?
