4chan /tg/ twice. The first time I came with a group of friends in World 3 after hearing about it on /tg/. The second time I joined a group of fa/tg/uys with a few friends in World 4.

I watched Projareds review on the game.
Why should you avoid players near salt sources? Because they're SALTY.

This is why we should get more streamers/youtubers to promote this game.1MoreGamer wrote:I watched Projareds review on the game.
Some people might get excited and try it.
Some even stay and play it for years.

I'm not sure that I have a strong argument against sketch colors - Jorb, November 2019

I really do enjoy Paul's Indie game test drive series. I always check up on his channel just in case he showcases any other gems that would suck me in and entertain me for years like HnH did.
*EDIT*
Fuck why am I getting a wave of feels..

my son introduced me to this HnH when I was in an accident and couldn't do anything been playing since w5. I even played all through the horrible lag period.

Re: How did you find Haven and hearth?
Was told about H&H by a friend (that still plays) sometime back in w5, I think that was the huge lag time, however because of the huge lag I lost interest within the first hour of trying to just move from tree to tree to gather materials. I retried several times over the course of a month, and finally just gave up, till w7 when I was once more told about the game and that the huge lag was no longer an issue. Was hooked by the idea of an exploration/settlement style of game where you could do what you want with consequences on your actions.

Re: How did you find Haven and hearth?
4chan's /jp/ during world 5. There was a simple thread saying something like 'hey, let's play this together', and I had nothing better to do, so I tried it.
My initial impressions were horrible. Everything was counterintuitive and without a guide you had no idea what you were doing. I spawned somewhere between a large village and a river, and with criminal acts off and claims invisible I could not leave the little plot of land I was on (and for the most part couldn't even interact with) due to the (invisible!) claim/claims locking me in. Then I got 'thorn in the foot' and slowly started dying, then I figured I might as well pick a fight with ants since I was going to die anyways, and I got killed by ants.
I'm not sure what the reason for it was, but somehow it didn't discourage me from making a second character and reading the newbie guide, this time without a horrible spawn location, and the game started becoming fun. I soon after created a new character to join the /jp/ village, and six weeks later all kinds of crazy shit had happened and I had spent an average of 11 hours a day in H&H. After aforementioned crazy shit I became a hermit, and I've been playing as a hermit on and off ever since.
