R'yleh did have some impact in world 8 but they were raided by Odditown and Great House. I do know one of the lead member joined another prominent one. The factions that were remaining are Lords of Shadows, Core/NG+, High Garden, Great House, Ainran, and Amish, the ones that were no longer functional were R'lyeh and New Brodgar.
