jesus Magic...
If it helps, mister hermit guy, a lot of
high tier players don't really grind stats.
You can get by in the end game with
low stats, just gotta practice and learn.

If you read the second part of my post, you may notice I said:MagicManICT wrote:To be honest, the fact you're just breaking 40 means you still won't, and you probably won't be a skillful enough player for it to matter if you do. I'm not hating, just trying to be a realist. I've hermitted since w3, and it's just a fact you have to learn to accept.Kuriak wrote:As a hermit who plays somewhat casually and has barely breached 40+ all around, I can't say I'm unhappy that it's not completely hopeless for me to have stat parity someday.
edit: I'll note there is an exception if you've done the village thing and gotten into different fights and stuff, in which case you might just know enough to fight most random raiders off, even with the lower stats.
I know I will never have a chance to approach a serious player in terms of quality, skill, stats, or any of that stuff. Which is why I acknowledge stat parity won't matter, if I ever achieve it, which I most likely won't.Kuriak wrote:Yea, I'll never be able to stand toe to toe with someone from a faction anyway, nor should I, but at least there's a softcap on how stupidly superior they can get.
It's just nice to see things leveled somewhat, even if it is a tiny bit. Otherwise I completely agree. I really don't think I will make it to the cap.

T.T it really isnt.. Dole already said Hes sure people are this high already, which they certainly are no doubt.CSPAN wrote:A brag post in disguise folks, move along.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

Re: Stat cap way too low.
UO has 100.0% skill cap, 700.0% total skill cap. In a shard osi like, with rates osi like, you can get a 7x pvp char ready in a week. The game just ends when you reach the cap? Actually the game begins when you reach the cap!
Reaching the cap means you can actually go out carnaging like a monster. And since more people will be on the same stats as you, things will be balanced, and pvp will be really fun! We'll not have a powergamer with extremelly high stats just killing everyone in sight in 1, 2 hits and bare-hands bashing palisades at his will.
I think this is the way the game has to go, where team planed actions are needed to ensure victory on pvp, sieges and so on.
Where's the fun when a group of 2, 3 players can run arround palibashing every claim they find and raiding everyone? Okay, those 2, 3 guys will have some fun (untill they get bored), but those being raided will just leave.

can take down a large group. It's just that
you don't often see something like that.
