Nice work guys! It looks like things are really starting to shape up. I see a few people getting their own plots going and stuff. Groovy!

A thought:

If you would like to have more space than is available in the designated plots, but would like to know that you aren't living out in the middle of freaking nowhere, why not start with us and head out a bit? =D At least then you will know you will have people to trade with down the road.

Only thing is not to start up some farm right nearby, because we intend to expand quite a lot.

How would one find brodgar if they want to move from the middle of nowhere?

So far I have bumped into a number of people while out foraging, total of 10, so far only one had been on while I was there, ge gave me some Windsown Weeds. The ass had like 20 damn him and me not finding any. And there is someone just over the river from us, which curves into a dead end as I discovered later after building a boat to cross to them...

Every time I have seen someones hearth fire I leave a runestone say that they are welcome to join, just tell us in the Fourms. If they did so I would come look for them again...

How would one find brodgar if they want to move from the middle of nowhere?

For an existing character u need to add someone that is online as kin via hearth secret, then get into a group, an arrow will point the direction, but i warn you due ot random spawns it could be a long walk.

I advise a new character and just spawn at the hearth secret 'New Brodgar'

Just to clarify,

We have removed the public Hearth-Secret, but immigration is not closed.

The real future strength of New Brodgar lies in its continual openness to fresh blood and expansion. There is no intention to reach a point at which we are 'closed' to more residents.

If you wish to live in New Brodgar, please send a PM to Nano or myself, or another resident that you might know, and we can organise somethng.

In a few days a Hearth-Secret will be posted on the first post of this thread again.

UPDATE:

New Brodgar is continuing to grow nicely. Yesterday we established a village idol. A lot of people are developing their plots, building walls, houses and gardens. It is definitely beginning to feel like a bit of civilizaion. The wide orderly streets keep things from getting that gettoized feeling of the old Brodgar.

Our next task is to expand village influence (we gotta make lots of flax), and build a signpost network for fast transport around the metropolis.

To people considering New Brodgar as your home:

- We are always welcoming of new citizens.
- You will receive your own plot of 20x20 land.
- While we do expect you to help out a bit with road making and such, esp. in these early days, you will have your own autonomy of time. You can work for your own profit, trading with other citizens. The economic structure will be aimed towards individual enterprise, specialisation and trade.
