Re: JORB are you going to fix or reset the world?
This is a really dumb myth that people like to spread, firstly all the resources were depleted on day 1 I can guarantee you that and at that point nobody in the game had good curios for icicles or good food for salt nor a base to even properly store the stuff with.abt79 wrote:The problem is how they work, they gave tons of resources at the start of the world and almost none after they were depleted; it should work quite the other way, they should begin with 0 or 1 of their respective resource and gradually regain more and more with each decay tick.
An enormous advantage like salt or ice shards as a noob destroys all competition, even if you don't claim the node, just having a cupboard full of salt gives a ridiculous head start
There's also the fact that nobody really knew what the stuff was. I remember harvesting like 3 salt nodes when I first logged in and dropped half of it on the ground because it took up too much inventory space. When I found out what it was I ended up using it all on berries because I didnt want to store it where anybody could take it due to not having pclaims, also every resource was 1ql at this point so they werent very effective.
In short, our village got a ton of resources on day 1 but it didnt help at all, we had a day 1 rage char from using pink crystals + ice shards but we pretty much all squandered the small lp boost then died doing stupid shit.
I feel like it has become an excuse that noob players use to justify why they fall so far behind, they tell themselves that the bigger villages got an unfair headstart but the actual fact of the matter is you just suck and the boost from day 1 wonders is pretty much negligible. The only wonder which is really having a big impact is salt but anybody can collect salt if they want to, pclaims dont stop anything.

Re: JORB are you going to fix or reset the world?
I fixed your quote. I'm bitter as fuck that I've had a wound that up until like, 5 days ago could be fixed only with the Ancient Root resource. I have, to this day, seen and come into contact with a singular Q10 root and my friend had to use it - before I had that 30HHP wound. All the trees near me are claimed or botted and the game is hardly fun to play because either poultice makes me braindead for 3 days, or I'm so low that I can't go out and hunt because if I fuck up and get hit once I am going to DIE. Meanwhile I have 10 separate claimed trees ticked off on a local map I have and I just stare at it and sigh.MightySheep wrote:"I was able to straight up kill people in certain situations DAY ONE just based off of where I spawned, but I was stupid and squandered it. Salt was useless because no good food existed. Now, because we learned what the stuff did, we claimed most of it in the center of the world so nobody else can have any. Or, we bot alts and just bank the stuff next to where it spawns. None of that advantage early carried over because we all still died regardless, so why are you complaining??"
Jorb should salt the earth on every claimed resource, dissolve every claim ON those resources, and just regenerate them because I'm sick of seeing everything useful claimed, ESPECIALLY in a world where conflicts can't happen over them because sieging is being retuned. You can't bash the claim, you can't steal from them or you'll get nidbaned and fucked in the ass, and you can't bot them yourself because they're claimed.
I just want to play the game.

Unless they are behind a palisade, nothing is stopping you from stealing roots.

I don't have combat skills because IDDDsDD999 wrote:Who gives a shit? Put up parry, they're basically a free 150 EXPDuane wrote: you can't steal from them or you'll get nidbaned,
A. Can't fight shit on 40HHP
B. Can't mindlessly grind cheese
C. Can't do anything to heal myself.
I finally got a horn to make a salve because a nearby hermit took pity on me. It's taken two hours to boil.
There's the circular logic.Zeler wrote:omg spooky ghosts so scary capped by wax, metal and retarded ai
Fact of it is, anyone who has one of those resources claimed could probably make a better Nidbane Fetter than I could survive. even if it's only a thieving scent.
I don't have thieving yet but that's beside the point - I wouldn't steal from a claim regardless.

I spread this because my day 3 character had 230k lp and got most of it from 4 well spent iciclesMightySheep wrote: This is a really dumb myth that people like to spread, firstly all the resources were depleted on day 1 I can guarantee you that and at that point nobody in the game had good curios for icicles
