that seagull comment got me thinkin of birds so im like, "fuck it, gimme falcons"

capturable trainable falcons we can use to hunt stuff like rabbits and squirrels. you'd need to make a special metal and wood cage to keep em in, feed and water em too of course.

I am with liking of this idea. It is a hassle to chase the small creatures, but I can have a need for their flesh.

Falcons for long-distance trade
4 slots, takes one week to arrive there and another to return.
I want to believe.

Charter stones are unfeasible with their crystal requirement and also an old mechanic. We need new interesting things, even if only as alternatives, not the same stuff reheated and repainted.
Trade falcons could also be used as a bird companion, one thing doesn't negate the other.

I am with thoughts of carrier pigeon for this purpose. Falcon is a bird with build for killing.

Falcons, eagles, owls, sparrows, and even pidgeons can be tamed irl for a variety of functions, from hunting to messenger, and falconary has always been associated with status and nobility.

Please add some, does not need to have all of the above in the game, but some different kinds of birds with some being tamable would be very nice.

Could take it further imho!
New ability + skill to level: Animal handling.

Get some extra animals, like trained dogs etc, for pvp purposes.

Animal handling could impact animal breeding one way or another, or quality of items gained from animals etc.
