My reasoning for leaving the ingredients as boards only was to keep the quality of the Vats similar to that of tanning tubs. Adding other materials that you can grind the quality up faster with isn't that great of an idea. Q100 metal on a Vat? No thanks. Makes no sense for something like this to have metal anyways, unless you are imagining metal bands around the vat.

the reason i brought up other ingredients is because if it was just boards and these were superior to tubs in every way, save that you couldnt lift them, then tell me. why would anyone, EVER make a tub?

Could have some more expensive skills to unlock before being able to build it. And the tubs are movable, that would be their advantage. You can put them in a house or cellar if you want, whereas the vats should only be able to be placed outside.

being moveable isnt ENOUGH of an advantage is what im saying. they'd still be considered useless next to vats. just like the cornocopia is considered useless as a curio next to.... every other curio in the game.
