A Valkyrie' Prayer

Helm bright and new,
Armor brilliant blue,
Spear and shield wondrous hue.

She sits writing poem,
The warrior in her soul,
Brave and bold.

Her tears ink most dear,
Lavish stories most fear,
Her heart draws near.

Tossing pen in air,
To foot she stands,
Defiance she smiles.

Hurling forth she soars,
Down to Midgard past sleeping boars,
She finds his heart as she once again opens doors.

Whispering what the heart weeps,
She watches as he sleeps,
Their lips touch the precious things one keeps.

Lifting her love she flys,
Yggdrasil she lands,
Resting her warrior in life hands.

Spear cuts deep,
Her tears fall,
A mixture to all.

This she offers the tree so great,
"Hear me O life,
Giver of soul."

"This life a piece of the whole,
Gives you to grow,
Thrive so love knows."

"To my sisters up high,
I say this be my battle,
Be it forever or ney"

"It is the battle this heart faces,
Be my destiny Valhalla or Hel,
Love is my cause."

"Stand fast with your sister,
Or watch in your halls,
This soul stands."

"Fight with me,
Spear and shield,
For this heart does not yield."

"Odin or Hel I say this to you,
This soul is mine,
Come fight me if you must.'

"Should your spear gain the winning thrust,
I do trust,
You will do what you must."

"But know you Valhalla or Hel,
This heart does not yield."

Her spear held strong,
Shield held taught,
Eyes watchful.

At her feet her warrior sleeps.
