Stealing from Goons

Postby Spiff » Fri Mar 05, 2010 1:12 am

So yesterday we had some guy waltzing through our town threatening to come back with murder and slice us all to pieces and eating all our food. None of us online had the proper skills to deal with the situation and we were getting tired of it. He had hearthed in the middle of our hearthpile. We quickly threw up a claim, fenced it in with construction posts and then penned him in so he had to transport back to his hearth.

[Not pictured: Setting up chairs and interviewing our pet, "Bob" as we named him. We eventually expanded his pen such that he had room to run and play.]

Today, his friend "Tim" broke him out and he and "Bob" came back to steal some more stuff. While he was away attempting to pillage, we tracked down his hearth. He had a nice little wall set up. So we spruced up his camp a bit and waited for him to return home.

No, there is no cave exit.

Thats awesome. But Bob has a bow? He came to go on a terror rampage with a bow and no arrows?

Gotta say hes lucky you caged him, he doesnt seem bright enough to live in the wild. :D

Wall in without gate, not cool.

How would it be different if we had built a gate? We'd still never open it. And he's still stuck until he gets someone with enough str to open it.

It's actually not the letter of the law. Nor is it really the spirit of the law.

I see it as a viable way of dealing with theft, but if Jorb comes down and actually says it's against the rules (which so far, I haven't seen. But maybe I'm blind and retarded.) then I'll agree with his choice.
