It's funny how my map is completely different from yours. I guess we do play two different gamesLadyGoo wrote:Pic
I had this idea of building a few towers to collect, keep, and organize people's historical reports and let everyone access them in-game like a sort of public library, but then I remembered what the devs did with XCom's maze and I decided against it. The constant threat of a sudden world reset isn't very motivating when you're writing and sorting 300+ parchments.Comodo wrote:People who played throughout a world should write a memoir based on their experience in a certain world, then we could compile that into a list and keep it somewhere to have a collection of memoirs sorted by world and ordered by category (hermit/faction/trader etc.) that people could read through to get some sort of understanding of the history of Haven starting from Legacy W1

Nope, but largely abandoned before fully constructed (not because of any conflict).barra wrote:Alferheim was raided?Onep wrote:Explosions are the people who've been raided and butchered.avros008 wrote:explosions?

This is totally cool. I will help you upkeep such a place—with or without resets, we can always transcribe documents to a more secure, copyable document. It's what I do with most of my stuff—even the HnH World History thread I made. Since it might be relevant to some degree, here it is:ven wrote:I had this idea of building a few towers to collect, keep, and organize people's historical reports and let everyone access them in-game like a sort of public library, but then I remembered what the devs did with XCom's maze and I decided against it. I originally stopped maintaining the thread, because life got me busy. An in-game library sounds fun, and fits the Viðarrheim Abbey agenda. PM me.Vaku wrote:
Welcome to the newly restored Library of Congress. Here you may discover a comprehensive range of information regarding the Hearthlands. Entries here are made from official and documented sources. Clicking on the "O" next to the entry allows you to view the source.
You are able to make contributions to the library by posting the link of any thread that might be considered significant. Discussion may ensue, regarding the significance of the information. If the information is significant, a new entry may be added. Most of all, be detailed in your own historical accounts.
Likelyhood of an EntryAs an additional use of the Library, that is a result of the restoration, you are free to put in requests for sources on topics you would like to learn more about, or see documented in greater detail. Much older information has had to succumb to greater investigation, and are not easily discovered through search phrases alone, but through cross-analysis of source after source.
I am particularly interested in fulfulling requests for fleshing out information that corresponds with what are typically seen as significant events. Sometimes the introduction of new crafts are equally interesting for the way they drastically change the landscape. Other times I tend to find particular players as key figures in the way that their actions direct much of the commotion at the time, and I tend to be willing to take a closer look at them. Simply request and it will be considered.
Example Topics for RequestOctober 7th, 20132013-10-19
This undertaking of the Library of Congress Restoration has involved the attempt at a complete catalog of events, from the earliest glimpsed days of the Hearthlands, up to the present! The cataloging, has been and continues to be, a delightful task, that has rewarded me with many amusing insights. I hope that in your time perusing the Library, that you find similar delight in the events of priceless stories in development and deviance, politics and passions, a dynamic chronicle that was written by thousands of you, over an amazing course of five years, and counting!
Many Thanks,
-Vaku
O Brodgar's known forces of leadership have completely teetered into obscurity. Yolan, the hearthling, had become bedridden, rarely to be seen outside his home. It is by druid's order that he search better climates away from Brodgar, to live out a stress free life, perhaps among the quaint environs of the Warring Society Dojo.

Thanks for the offer, but I won't do it. I lost faith in the viability of player-made content under the current dev and community ethos. I wouldn't want to spend so much of my time with such a project. I wish you luck if you want to do that though. It does fit your group's personality.Vaku wrote:This is totally cool. Re: Brodgar and Bug Raiding?
The other noteworthy event that world for us was the Zox raid. He had apparently gone on vacation after recently killing one of our guys while he had been out foraging but his absence was unknown to us on the night we placed the ram. We didn't start camping until about 8 hours after it had been placed and it was at this time that the factions of Lord of Shadows, Amish Paradise and Great Houses came together with Highgarden to put an end to the infamous RMT trader Zox. The raid was successful and at that point Zox hung up his hat for the time being.Patchouli_Knowledge wrote:High Garden Faction
But... That's really about it. The world seemed to have gotten stale quite fast for many people and they were all dropping like flies which ended up leaving me to continue the industry activities on my own. However I had much help from some nearby friends/hermits and ended up progressing my metal industry quite a bit. My nearby Russian friend RuskRemo kept me company as well and eventually I brought in pedorlee and his girlfriend too.
Misc. events: discovered a wall jump, took over zox's clay and gave that shit out, leanne visited me once near the end of the world, fought davis, fought ainran
End of world pics
