I have a few vegan and vegetarian friends, and none have ever told me that I should stop eating meat. If we go out, we pick places where there's some decent options for them, which most places have. If we eat in, most of the food I eat has a lot of veg in and can be done with or without meat in it, so it's not overly complex.

A vegan diet is more of a pain, Vege'tarians not so much.

Another interesting thing is that East Asians are some of the shortest people in the world and their diet is kinda low on meat and has virtually no dairy (lactose intolerance is common in Asians). On the other hand some of the tallest people in the world have diets based on meat and dairy (Dutch, West Balkans people, Masai). And stunted growth isn't exactly a hallmark of health.

Lol ... to be fair though I think there are other factors involved in those examples, I remember reading something about it awhile back, I don't recall it word for word but it cited genetics and environmental factors for the differences in height as well. Though ofc malnutrition and poor diet can and does stunt growth.

Historically the Dutch have been shorter than your average European, it was only after the general population was able to afford good food that they became the tallest in Western Europe, presumably because they like cheese more than other Western Europeans.

Yeah, I read about that too, I was mainly referring to the Masai and East Asians.
