Re: Avocado vs Pineapple vs Banana
Never had avocado, because over here it's more expensive than the best cuts of veal and I'm pretty sure it can't be near as good. Bananas are kinda bland, so I'm gonna have to go with pineapple.

I dislike avocado, bananas I eat daily - I read somewhere once that bananas contain a natural painkilling ingredient and that eating one a day increases your tolerance to pain, hence why, I've never bothered to verify that statement by further investigation, (I like bananas anyway) so am not sure how much truth is in it but, I do seem to have a high pain tolerance compared to others around me. Ofc, it could just be that I am structured that way.
So, yes pineapple for me too.

Re: Avocado vs Pineapple vs Banana
Bananas are the worst. They are disgustingly mushy and soft, and their abundance of sickening isoamyl acetate not only makes their own flesh provoke a gag reflex, but also permeates and contaminates anything left in close proximity to them, rendering it inedible.
Pineapple however is the food of the gods- because only a true god could efficiently extract the juicy goodness from within the fibrous and spiny husk.
This brings us to the winner, avocado. What is there to not like about a ripe avocado? Deliciously oily, green flesh, that will willingly shed its clothing to come and share a night with you on a piece of toast. Enjoy the sensuous feeling of luscious fat and carbohydrate between your teeth, and revel in the life-changing flavour.

Is it better than veal steak?jorb wrote:Goodness. You should at least try one.Potjeh wrote:Never had avocado
Also, I never had sweet potato for pretty much the same reason, they're like 10€/kg.

Not objectively -- how could a vegetable ever beat meat? -- but if you've literally *never* had avocado I would argue that the first try is definitely more value than the Nth veal steak.Potjeh wrote:Is it better than veal steak?

Where you get avocados matters a lot. I meet a lot of people from the east coast that hate avocados because they've only had Florida avocados. Those are tough, flavorless, and awful. Californian avocados are incredibly creamy and -- erm, I'm unsure of how to express the taste. Fresh? Refreshing? Mellow?Potjeh wrote:Is it better than veal steak?

I have no idea what any European avocados are like though.

Oh woe, ye who hath never tasted the sweet plunder of the earth!Potjeh wrote:Also, I never had sweet potatoPotjeh wrote:Never had avocado
Do you like potato? Do you like sweetness? Well have I the tuber for you. Sweet 'tater. Boil 'em. Mash 'em. Stick 'em in a stew. Enjoy all the goodness of potato but now with added sweet.
I truly weep for your loss; what life is worth living without sweet potato?
