I have some issues with Ctrl+X function - it places *things* not in the clicked tile, but in some 8-tiles-around area sometimes... Not crirical, when dumping stockpile from wheelbarrow or placing haulables, but very annoying, when Im trying to organize my tree-farm. Also, sometimes my own path-line visualize incorrect - much longer at start with continuosly reducing to somewhat it should be. (Dunno is these issues have some similar origin).

P.S. Is there any way to include string ":audiobuf 8192" somewhere, so I haven't to type it manually every start?

when I log in I get top menu (character pic/hp/daytime etc) hidden.
How to fix it? please help, very annoying

Press space bar. Might need to uncheck "Disable UI hiding with space-bar" setting in Control Settings before doing that.

I knew about pressing space bar. I have to press space bar every time when logging in. "Disable UI hiding with space-bar" is disabled.
Some time ago, when I was logging in everything was fine.
Therefore the problem is still exist.

Try "Reset WIndows" in UI settings.

Did you tried other clients? I mean, before problem occured first time...

No. I started using Amber client.
Haven't used even default client.

No matter how many times I reset UI, check/uncheck the spacebar hiding option, my client stays bloody stuck logging on without Daytime widget AND active chat window. This is getting annoying, I have to press space bar few times, realize I've just typed "space space space" into chat, click somewhere, press spacebar to open day/night widget... Every time I relog.

Can you maybe advice me on what registry entry or temporary options folder I need to fukn smash down to get my client unstuck?

Regarding the daytime,
Look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\haven registry entry.
and delete gui-um-visible key or set its value to true.

To disable chat getting focus on login you can check "Select system log on login" in general settings.

Hey, maybe you add lp/h tooltip on curios? Like in comodo's client (that this asshole stopped updating), when you hover over a curio it shows you lp/h so you don't need to put it into study to see this
