how do i heal?

these foxes dropped my health to 1/1 and i am afraid they will kill me someday. i though gauzes might help but they don't.

There are other posts on health, but I'll summarise for you:

SHP = Soft HP, damage comes off this first, when it's reduced to zero you are knocked out. Additional damage (including overflow) comes of HHP

HHP = Hard HP this is your current SHP limit.

SHP will regenerate slowly over time without any effort on your part.
HHP will not regenerate without treatment. Currently I am aware of two treatment options:

1 - Someone using the first aid skill to apply gauze to your head will wrap you up in bandages and very slowly regenerate your HHP (I really mean it when I say very slowly)
2 - Leeches when attached to your body will drain SHP and give back a small amount of HHP.
Be aware that if you have no SHP left the leeches will drain HHP and not help healing at all (and probably kill you)
Leeches will attach themselves to your exposed body if you hang out in the swamp

Sorry to hear that

On the plus side, now you can make a new character and know what you're doing from the get go, you'll probably surpass your old character quicker than you thought you would.
