its better to be a forest hermit in the modern world than to become a prisoner in one of those jail station crappies.

I thought about it a bit and I don't think Arvin is a woman.Hasta wrote:I would like for all forum members to take a moment and appreciate this thread where masks were lost by sheer sloppiness, identities revealed and other stuff happened.

Considering Arvin being from Sweden, you can never be too sure.Atamzsiktrop wrote:I thought about it a bit and I don't think Arvin is a woman.Hasta wrote:I would like for all forum members to take a moment and appreciate this thread where masks were lost by sheer sloppiness, identities revealed and other stuff happened.

Re: Charging Prisoners for Phone Calls
I think this will be fine if private prison company is judged on proper metric. If something like rate of redo criminal after sentence ended is what it is discriminated. So that prison with lowest repeat offending rates getting contract. Then maybe these company are competing to do what is desired outcome best. Instead of just lowest cost to lock people in cage. I do not think very hard on this, so maybe I do miss some thing. At least I think this idea is not just blatant bad.MagicManICT wrote:Someone hasn't just been drinking the Kool-Aid, they've been guzzling it like it is free beer....Jesus_Smith_Nandez wrote:Prisons should not be run by the state they should be privatised

Privatised prisons would then more than ever seek to incarcerate citizens who were likely innocent or only guilty of very minor crimes to avoid the expense of having to rehabilitate full blown criminals.
Laying flat.

This is very clear conflict of interest for it, yes. I suppose there is no good way to be preventing prison company to influence this law either because of lobby and corruption and thing like this.Jalpha wrote:Privatised prisons would then more than ever seek to incarcerate citizens who were likely innocent or only guilty of very minor crimes to avoid the expense of having to rehabilitate full blown criminals.
