The quest for grapes

I've just spent about four real-life hours wandering the map, searching for grapes. And yes, I've used the world map for reference to make a beeline to wild crops. I searched all biomes, and I've found wheat, flax, hemp, tea and hops, but no grapes. No carrots, either, which surprised me, because I've seen carrots in people's gardens. So, do grapes in fact exist? Or did I take that winemaking skill for nothing? Also, are there wild carrots, or did those people get the seeds from some other source? Any hints on where should I search if these crops do exist in the wild?

Carrots and grapes were invented after these maps were made, so they do not exist in the wild. There are a few people who have grapes, though. If you ask nicely, you might get some. :)

I'll be going to bed now, but tomorrow I might summon a couple of grape vines and carrots near Brodgar so that people can get their fill of them.

Oh please do. I've seen plenty of gardens but none of them had grapes. I even brought some tea seeds to trade
I just hope I get to them before they're all gone.

I was under the impression you guys spawned them inside wine presses...it seemed every wine press I looked in had a load of seeds...I took a couple to get some vines growing, if anyone stops by, I'll keep a few seeds when they harvest to pass out.

I was given two and a bunch of others after i lost my seeds to a server crash.
Carrots grow like a !@#!@ but didn't plant the grape seeds yet.

I resorted to stealing somebody's seeds from a press I did leave an equal number of tea seeds in a basket next to it, though. Tea seems to be rare around the centre, so I hope whoever was the owner of those seeds doesn't mind too much.

Alas, I haven't found carrots yet.

I've put two chests full of grape and carrot seeds by the Inn of Brodgar (in Giglet's charity bins). Feel free to use them, but do try and leave some for others. ;)
