I saw they reimplemented hunger and added a survival mode on char creation screen. Once they add thirst and dynamic temperature mechanics it might be fun to play. From what I can see they also tied up the story and made the races stuff believable.
They do have a bad memory leak problem though. Others have complained, and I recall that game using more of my RAM than a modded kerbal space program.

Nice Thread
Eh I tried starbound but wasn't able to "get into it". The story seemed bland and silly. Also it has a strange, over feminized feel to it, like the first thing I pick up is a flower and it equips into my chars hair...
Also the movement feels clunky, like I keep falling places I don't want to go because it's so sensitive. The UI and menus felt clunky too. Combat, not anything to write home about, It just made me want to play terraria honestly, but I'm burnt out in that so meh. Gonna try this Balrum game tho, looks alright. Most of my m8s are playing Gloria Victis and bf4 atm but Gloria is pissing me off with the bugs/issues, it just needs more dev time. 6 months or so and Gloria should be pretty awesome if devs stick to the script.
I go back to this game alot, Phantasy Star Online, free private server up and running for a while now, faster leveling, more rare monsters and drops. here is a link and screeny

BF4 is good fun but the poor physics and hitboxes cause frequent fits of pseudo-rage. It's still a good way to burn an hour or two regardless. BF1 looks amazing but we will see how badly EA screws it.
Been considering getting Arma 3 if anyone has an opinion on it?

You guys are casual as fuck to be honest. I expected people who play a game with such a harsh penalty for death to actually play some difficult games.
Kindly allow me to fix that issue since apparently nobody else can.
I present to you shmups, the hardest game genre there is. Period.

Difficulty: Scrub Level
Space Engineers: an amazing game that, when working properly is completely amazing, and if not working properly is completely rage inducing, and makes you not want to play it ever again.

What's that game called Seizure Adventures? I'll pass, And HnH is one of the most casual games I've ever played lmao. So many games out there way more difficult. Sure you lose time when you die in HnH but how often do you die in HnH? Unless you're a potato.Moisture wrote:You guys are casual as fuck to be honest. Space Engineers felt very lacking in content when I tried it. Fly from asteroid to asteroid gathering rocks/minerals, build something with it, thats it right? It needed some "threat" to it, like stuff would attack you after a while. Like DF.

Re: Post pictures of other games
I personally enjoy what Space Engineers has to offer. There are some threats, but nothing like Dwarf Fortress. I haven't tried multiplayer on it too deeply, but the PvP seems like it is lacking. I haven't played around with it since the planets update, though, as at that point it will no longer run on my system (needs a new gpu and more ram).bojackson wrote: Space Engineers felt very lacking in content when I tried it. If you do like this sort of game, check out Empyrion. You start off with an escape pod and a space suit crash landed on a hostile planet. PvP can get pretty intense, or you can go full co-op a la Don't Starve Together. I'd post some screenshots, but I'm at min spec and everything looks like utter shit (but at least it runs at a playable frame rate). The only thing that keeps this one from going full on MMO is the hardware bottlenecks in the servers. Otherwise, there's some pretty solid dedicated servers that play almost like EVE if you were to limit the game to a single system and a few dozen players.
