This huge claim, as far as I can tell, was put up AFTER the town existed, within two screens of it, in a place that publicly available plans and common sense would show is part of the town. I find it hard to see Brogdar as anything but justified in this, especially since they are, all things considered, being as helpful and understanding as possible. I fail to see how you compare this to the greatest injustice of the modern western world.flaw wrote:Technically, maybe, but this is a far more apt reference than most times Godwin's comes into play.Avu wrote:And thus Godwin's law strikes again.

Helpful and understanding, as long as people don't get in their declared way, you mean?Peter wrote:This huge claim, as far as I can tell, was put up AFTER the town existed, within two screens of it, in a place that publicly available plans and common sense would show is part of the town. Don't get me wrong, they can do it if they want. But pretending it's all sunshine and roses is just silly.
I didn't say it was a good comparison, just far more apt than most.Peter wrote:I fail to see how you compare this to the greatest injustice of the modern western world.

Re: 新ew Brodgar 中n the 日ay
I guess I missed the part where I said New Brodgar was 'sunshine and roses'.
Maybe this will come as a shock, but villages, towns, cities, kingdoms, they can only exist if they assert themselves in some fashion.
That given, we are willing to let _anybody_ live with us, provided they follow the zoning plan. Yes. I can see it now. Really we are just like Nazi Germany.
How about you go and watch some more Glen Beck?

Re: New Brodgar in the Day
I would like to apologies to Yolan and the Community, due to lack of Communication I have not had the chance to get any information to either him or the Village itself. When looking closer the New 'Trading Guild' which these russians have built is 6 plots joined together. The problem is that they are not willing to separate themselves to the Zoning WHICH Got lost in translation...
They consist of 6 people, thus why they were allowed 6 plots, but it seems that when they were talking about what they specialize in they turned deaf ears to the fact that Farmers are only allowed to built to the North were we are allowing Farmland to be built. They have used the 2 south most plot for their own farms, I had hoped to catch either then, our best russian translator and Yolan on at one point but I have been caught up by Real Life problems...
I hope that this clears up half of the confusion that has occurred. By the way, what the hell is up with all of MaxManAtArms's posts???

I will also like to note that the space between then and my own Tavern will be the new road untill we swoop around under them. Sadly once again miscommunication at work...

Final Post by the "white knighter"
To put a a last post to this topic.
Good idea and thought:
Would be nice to have a working city for a trade center.Plus a port of sorts to make decent hub of merchants and explorers.
Bad idea and thought:
Disapprove of forcing out others from there land. The city people would think others would think or they will expand out to get bigger. The "country" folk want to be close enough to use it but far enough to have there own Zone. But will lose it when the city grows over it.
Final thoughts: Its good thought but the current Light on the subject makes it murky and up to others t fight it off.Just like real life when things come to the light of others they throw there two cents in. Mine as well as others do the same as Jackard put it i was "white Knighting"
So hope others will think about it fully as. Are you next to it? if not don't worry to much. (I.e. your a supergrid away or more) If your closer (with in the supergrid of Brodgar) Worry and take it up with them if your in there "zone" of growth.
Well i said my piece. (after fully thinking it though) So thank you for listening to my rambling and "knighting"
