Flame, when the fuck did you decide to be a whiner?
The world I love The tears I drop To be part of The wave can't stop
Ever wonder if it's all for you
The world I love The trains I hop To be part of The wave can't stop
Come and tell me when it's time to

By this suggestion, extend your claim a bit and its impossible to be taken down with battering rams as well.Slizyboy wrote:This could be (at least partially) fixed if they just made it such that you can't build on claimed land, vandalism skill or not. I'm okay with the idea of allowing destruction of property with the vandalism skill, but the (very easy and obvious) abuse by allowing construction has an obvious, if slightly blunt, fix. Then all one has to do is extend a claim to a water source and it's basically impossible to wall someone in.

Why? Build a ram off the claim, wheel it to the wall, proceed to bash. Most people will do this anyway to avoid sending notifications to the assaulted.Spiff wrote:By this suggestion, extend your claim a bit and its impossible to be taken down with battering rams as well.Slizyboy wrote:This could be (at least partially) fixed if they just made it such that you can't build on claimed land, vandalism skill or not. Of course, this does break down in the case of the ram needing repairs, true. I didn't claim that it was an optimal fix, merely a blunt one that fixes the immediate problem

Yes, Jorb the Almighty saved us. And we'll take care of the criminal if he'll do anything nasty again.Grog wrote:did you ask for the fist of jorb yet?Garlicman wrote:We're having the same problem now, and i've claimed the area beyond the palisade too.

Have you tried wheeling a ram? Let me know how far you get.Slizyboy wrote:Why? Build a ram off the claim, wheel it to the wall, proceed to bash. Most people will do this anyway to avoid sending notifications to the assaulted.

Nah, only when i see the game abused by Metagame. Evilness should be with a realistic sense in the game. I'm sure it can be done, without leave game for evils and good, but just balance that. In a war, close the doors is good because you can besiege a city. But build a wall around a green fire? Or around a House? This is Metagame because is supposed that the character isn't OFFLINE, but he's sleeping near you.
Is with some sense if you see the chara Sleeping on the ground and you can't Build something near without wake him. (now, the wake him is simply "you cant build so near." Then, walk away and build your damned wall around him, you can. If you really like to waste so much time, do it, now it has a sense.
Everything can be done, but it must have a sense, or it is just Abuse of a Game. Understand?
