Should I trust unkown players?
I recently made a village and welcomed 2 unknown players who spawned extremely near the village, they are friends with each other, but I don't know them, do I run any risk by welcoming them as villagers? Same question goes for future cases if I find random players without a village who could be looking for a village.

It's your choice not ours, they could be helpful or they can just try to rob you. Either way you shouldn't care much because it's only a game.
yes I would invite them

What I meant with my question is if there's some kind of in game protection to avoid the possibility of players accepting to join your village just to rob you xD

Plots are one way, Field Cairns are another. There are other tools, such as permissions, and you can use multiple personal claims as well.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Trust them? Hell no!
I used to screw over lots of people by pretending I just started playing and needed shelter. The exact same thing has happened to me, and many others I've played with.
Trust must be earned... And even then there is no garuntee they won't turn evil one day
Also 2 people joining together increases the odds of them stealing/murdering by tenfold,ESPECIALLY if you are by yourself

Two most important thing for play Haven:
1. Trust no men
2. Build wall
