Re: Divine Intervention: The Case of zebratul vs AD
This is sounding like the usual "we razed your village bc one of your guys left scents at our place". You're just mad that it's jorb doing it to you instead of you doing it to noobs.

You dont know if the players are bug abusing, some play to have a fun time and shouldnt be punished along with the bug abusers. Some even outright dispise it, but you cant stop a villager from going on with his or her actions unless with force. Dont be an asshat because if this happened to you, you would feel the same way.leanne69 wrote:Source : viewtopic.php?f=39&t=43375jorb wrote:Reasoning
Serious bugs should be reported, not quietly exploited.
Associating with criminals can be a bad idea. Do not tolerate bugabose among your friends and fellow villagers.
There were a precedent, you know what were going to happen. Don't be with criminal scum if you don't want to be tagged as one as well.

The fact devs didn't fixed the bug as soon as it have been reported shouldn't be taken in consideration when it come to bugabuse. Players reported it, and players used it, they deserved this punishment. Even if devs might have a part of responsability about that, which is not my opinion, player had as well.
Tbh, it's quite fair and not comparable to Core. Core village have been fully removed. Here, it's just a vault. Their fault if they put their realm claim at their vault...

I like how you talk when it hurts you. We had the same case with Core, but noone bothered that 15+ players was nuked because of 7 that time. Be a man and face your nukes with honor.Bowshot125 wrote:Loftar you really are being unfair to the others who played in AD. This wasnt a good approach, you should have just wiped bug abusing characters, not the village. Paying your sub fee does make this a monetized game and you shouldnt be destroying shit without thinking about the consequences. If you punish players who did nothing wrong ingame then it's just going you bite you in the ass sooner or later as your game gets more known.

I might get a screenshot from my good colleague of the PM so you can check the date yourself, atleast, he claims so that he reported the bug months ago.loftar wrote: As far as I know, it was reported at most a few days ago, to Jorb who (reasonably, IMO) considered it appropriate to wait with fixing it until the next regular patch.
No, I do not. I wouldn't have cared for the most part and I wouldn't be posting this, if the punished ones were actually the ones who did it. The problem lies within, that you mostly punished wrong people, that were not involved in this case at all in any way and they logged in the next day just to see that their stuff is gone and the village nuked and their items gone + 2 characters gone. Did you atleast check the cupboards, if there were any sub tokens, or anything like that in the cupboards and would you refund to the people that owned the subtokens that got nuked and got punished for no reason ? I would like a answer to this, because we shared subtokens among our people. Are you trying to tell me that paying money gives you an excuse for bugabusing?
This is not relevant at all and our main village was the island village. I would have agreed with the punishment if we would have actually razed a village and fucked over many people with this in a teamwork.Only because the victim was good enough to defeat the people who tried to kill him via a bug, even though his character was beneath the abuser in stats. And yes, that is why we refrained from nuking your main villages.
Loftar, I am not saying that the bug abusers shouldn't get a punishment, I say fuck them and nuke their chars and fuck them over hard, as long as people that were not involved in it does not get punished just for being friends with the guy that abused the bug.

Sorry but I don't accept that, they should have learned from the overtyped situation that when it comes to such "serious abuses" (their words, I personally don't see any difference between major botting and major bug abusing) then they should take the time to resolve the issue. Jorb and loftar created this drama by being lazy and they created extra work for themselves by being lazy and more people end up quitting because they are lazy.leanne69 wrote:The fact devs didn't fixed the bug as soon as it have been reported shouldn't be taken in consideration when it come to bugabuse. I didn't realize that it was that serious, quite simply. Dropped the context, the ball, missed one, whatever. I have more than one thing on my plate, and I get five spurious reports for every one real, and not all of the real ones I get, get the message across. I'm not above blame in that, but it doesn't matter much. Do note that we did take all that into consideration. We did not hurt production centers at all. What AD has lost is a tower, a fair bit of nonsense, and a realm claim. All of that is replaceable, if expensive.

But you're right, someone should have said something with the Core nuke. And I remained silent, but someone has to say something now or the unfair nukes against innocent players will continue.APXEOLOG wrote:I like how you talk when it hurts you. Nukes are intrinsically not fair. That is kind of one of the points with them.
