I have heard complaints about .obj faces and textures being turned upside down. Bones not supported by obj. Whatever that means. I guess its possible, if someone that knows what hes doing would try it.loftar wrote:Not like it should be all that difficult, though. There are tons of plugins for import/export of various formats for various 3D modelling programs, and mapping to and from one of those shouldn't have to be that amazingly hard.shubla wrote:For 3d models. I doubt it will be possible.
I think no one has yet found a way to extract res files and make them.

Re: Different character art?
"Obj", I believe, is a truly ancient 3D model interchange format that noone should be touching. For the record, when we ourselves are dealin' and wheelin' with 3D models, we use the Ogre XML format for interchange. Blender can produce Ogre XML files, and our tools compile those to the resource format. Pretty sure there's an Ogre XML importer as well.shubla wrote:I have heard complaints about .obj faces and textures being turned upside down. Bones not supported by obj. Whatever that means.
