Uh... No, not really.

Elder scrolls mmo has nothing to do with the real elder scrolls game, it's just a wow clone with some elder scrolls spells included. It's garbage.Bowshot125 wrote:Elder Scrolls Online is doing just fine.slipper wrote:If it isn't a top down camera it's bound to die as an MMO. Having to shoot arrows in first person is even worse.
i Agree, robben is a fag.wafflecat wrote:Just wanted to say to anyone considering buying this game - DON'T.
It's one of the most tedious, unrewarding game experiences in the genre. The combat is buggy and seems like a cheap ripoff of Mount&Blade combat, but done extremely poorly.
There's a 'feature' where you gather herbs and mix them to make certain chemical, and it's the work of the devil. You have to collect and memorize something like 100 plants with arbitrary names and images, trying to figure out what makes what, and this is bound to your character, so you can't even share that information.
All building and crafting requires massive amounts of basically grass and wood, but there's nothing fun about getting it. It's just grind for the sake of grinding.
Apart from that, the devs made many promises they fell short on, including the fact that the MMO will be essentially pay 2 win, according to the recent 'packages' deal that let you buy ingame currency. What the hell?
But that's just like, my opinion, dudes.

Shooting someone in the face with a bow in Skyrim is probably the most satisfying experience in that gameslipper wrote:If it isn't a top down camera it's bound to die as an MMO. Having to shoot arrows in first person is even worse.
Let's not forget about placing buckets on merchants' heads so we can steal their wares.Kaios wrote:Shooting someone in the face with a bow in Skyrim is probably the most satisfying experience in that gameslipper wrote:If it isn't a top down camera it's bound to die as an MMO. That's an interesting design choice, forcing you to explore the game instead of using a wiki to find information.wafflecat wrote: and this is bound to your character, so you can't even share that information.
It is mechanic that sounds interesting on paper. But I can believe it is more annoying than its value in practice. I have never play game with this mechanic though.Tammer wrote:That's an interesting design choice, forcing you to explore the game instead of using a wiki to find information.wafflecat wrote: and this is bound to your character, so you can't even share that information.
