How To Heal? (A Noobie Way)

Lately, I been wondering how Do I heal in a noobie way, Since I'm a noob. I've Only Got 31 HP since attacks from Bores.

Now can anyone explain How to heal myself since I'm close to death.

Oh and explain briefly please!

You need to find a blue-green marsh and get some leeches.

If you have wagonmaking you can build a boat and search for the marsh by river safe from boars and bears.

There is one type of blue-green marsh that has no leeches. It appears white on the minimap. The other sort of blue-green marsh has algae and logs in it and appears blue-green on the minimap.

If you stand in this marsh leeches will attach to you in your equipment screen. They will start to suck your blood. Each leech will take 3 shp and has a chance of giving you one hhp back. When the leeches are full they bloat and you can take them off and wait for another one to attach.

(You can use leeches for bait for fishing and if you store them they will unbloat and you can re-use them.)

Failing that you need to get someone who has gauze to put a bandage on you. Once you have animal husbandry and find four leaf-clover you can shear a mouflon yourself and turn it into a bandage with a loom... but this all requires high perception, the cloth making skill, animal husbandry, basic mechanics to make the loom and first aid to put the bandage on.

Dammit, I used the Leeches and they only restore 3hp!

I only got 24hp!!! But I really want to go out and do fishing by our nearby lake, without getting attacked by a F****** Boar....

does potion help?

1. store the bloated leeches somewhere and use them every in-game day or two. that's slow, but way easier than looking for 4-leafed clovers and wild sheep (mouflons).
2. there are to my knowledge no healing potions in the game.
3. try to raise your STR and CON, they increase your maximum HHP and your SHP a little.
4. boars usually can not hit you, if you wade as far as possible into a river, or 2-3 tiles into lake shallows.
5. consider making a sling to shoot boars. it might take lots of stones, but you could wound and scare a boar away from the waterfront.
