I'm thinking, if all this thing is correct, the crops quality may be based on areas like WWW are, so if near your base you find flax that will be a good place to farm flax....so not easy way to exploit this, at least from what i can see....and sounds very good to me.

I can see this solution to break the 'stay inside walls except for hunting and mining' as trading for quality crops could be neccesary now, as you most likely won't be able to grow them all in quality yourself.

Except there'd be no reason to trade because the crops would inevitably lose their quality?

Idk man, Jorb should confirm this a little better because really, if it's how you've assumed it to be then the farmer-types are likely going to lose interest when none of their shit breaks q50
