Title has it: I see more and more roads (especially the stone kind) that are build in a way that following them is impossible - but they work for teleportations.
My suggestion is that the 'travel' option should check the exact path the character would take when actually following the road, which would lead to 'travel' working exactly as good (or bad) as 'follow' - removing the exploit of creating a road that can only be traveled and denying access to the milestone(s).

Its not an exploit.
You are just jealous because you dont know how to use this feature.

I build them that way because it's too much of a hassle to remove every single tree/bush/boulder in your way.

@shubs
i assure you Granger knows very well how to use and how to setup - he's right that not walkable roads are just exploiting travel and shouldn't be working for travel then either ...
@Kaios
ask you neighbours to help with clearing as they would use them to

Some roads are very long I don't blame anyone for not wanting to deal with the annoying bullshit that goes along with building them. Arguably however roads being a form of teleportation and teleporting being something that should require a marginal amount of investment does make the case that you should be required to clear the way for a path but there's too much tedium in the game already I really don't want more.borka wrote: @Kaios

It would make more sense to change it only if the extension stones were traversable.

I thought it was already require that you must be able to travel to teleport. What is this trick to avoid it?

No, he is talking about being able to travel along a road that has been extended in a way that you can't follow along (as in not teleport) instead, because you bump in to the extension stones themselves.Ysh wrote:I thought it was already require that you must be able to travel to teleport. I see. I assumed that these stone count as obstacle like tree does. Either way, is this really bug? Is it problem that men can not walk the road? Who will want to walk this road instead of teleporting?Kaios wrote:No, he is talking about being able to travel along a road that has been extended in a way that you can't follow along (as in not teleport) instead, because you bump in to the extension stones themselves.Ysh wrote:I thought it was already require that you must be able to travel to teleport. My point is: in case you're so lazy that you can't be assed to to setup a road with the signs/stones in a way that the path from one arrow (the one you get when placing it) to the next is free... you shouldn't enjoy teleportation along it but suffer from your bad craftsmanship.

Re: A road that can't be followed should not be travel-able
That's the point, I could extend a road to someone's village but neglect to build an end point on their end. They either have to leave scents to connect it and travel along or they would have to follow along to find out who built it but that becomes difficult when the "follow along" option just bumps you in to the next milestone because of how they were built.Ysh wrote: I see. And no they don't count as obstacles for traveling along the road, only following along.
