Re: Grand List of Simple Questions
I think the best estimate I recall is about 1 charisma per minimap.

And I recall that they say it doesn't increase linearly. I hope I won't need 250 charisma for 150 minimaps.isdel wrote:I think the best estimate I recall is about 1 charisma per minimap.

I don't know about numbers or formulas, but not only charisma affects travelling distance, exploration too.Tiresias wrote:Does anyone have a rough idea of how much charisma is needed to travel 150 minimaps?

Do you know if a forest biome can spread over pavemented tile (and a palisade) if I plant a tree on the edge?

But it says you lack the charisma to travel. And they seem to tell exploration doesn't play any role in this post; viewtopic.php?f=42&t=52028&p=688176&hil ... on#p688200.Iva wrote:I don't know about numbers or formulas, but not only charisma affects travelling distance, exploration too.Tiresias wrote:Does anyone have a rough idea of how much charisma is needed to travel 150 minimaps?
or is exploration affecting since W10? and if it indeed affects, does anyone know if they both have the same weight in the formula?

Re: Grand List of Simple Questions
If I am remember correctly, wald does not ''flow'' from tree position. Instead it can spawn random within some 3-5 tile of this tree. So it will not ''spread'' over, but maybe can spawn over and then do spreading from this spawned position.Aethyr wrote:Do you know if a forest biome can spread over pavemented tile (and a palisade) if I plant a tree on the edge?
I have become victory of very nice Jordan Coles Contest! Enjoy my winning submit here if it pleasures you.Kaios wrote:Spice Girls are integral to understanding Ysh's thought process when communicating, duly noted.

Ok, so I have chance to actually use the nice forest terrain I have just outside my palisade instead of wald ^^ thanksYsh wrote:If I am remember correctly, wald does not ''flow'' from tree position. Does it spread only on dirt or can it overlap grass too?

Re: Grand List of Simple Questions
trees spread whatever forest tile lies below them, and if they're on grass they automatically default to spreading wald
AFAIK any grass or forest tile can be replaced via this terraforming, so if you would like a tree farm in a certain corner of your home you can spread wald or w/e other forest over there by planting trees
should be noted this is extremely slow and inconsistent, and you'll probably only get a few tiles at most during the lifecycle of each tree

Planting on grasslands also slows down your tree growth times IIRC.

yeah it nukes it to oblivion, takes weeks for trees to grow to max size instead of a few days
