Re: Game Development: Blessings of a Fair Realm
Why is mountain tradition not a decrease in rock hardness modifier? Ore quality is just gross. I think you could get the same kind of flavor with a -25% rock hardness per stack, so people would be able to mine level 5 like butter, but at least they would still have to expand and look for high quality ores and not shit stomp everybody else by finding a base node that will be above 200.

I really like that suggestion, especially as it doesn't provide anything that couldn't be obtained by increasing pick quality and strength.Giggidy wrote:Why is mountain tradition not a decrease in rock hardness modifier? It still doesn't solve the cave expansion issue.Giggidy wrote:Why is mountain tradition not a decrease in rock hardness modifier? Ore quality is just gross. No, but it looks a bit fairer than a +% to ore quality.Glorthan wrote:It still doesn't solve the cave expansion issue.Giggidy wrote:Why is mountain tradition not a decrease in rock hardness modifier? Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

None of the big realms would bother with it then.Giggidy wrote:Why is mountain tradition not a decrease in rock hardness modifier?

mountain tradition should either be changed or removed, "fairness" has nothing to do with it, it detracts from the point of the realm blessings if only the main kingdom benefits from them.

Agreed. All the other bonuses affect everyone in the kingdom, that one just affects the village that owns the kingdom.Kirche wrote:mountain tradition should either be changed or removed, "fairness" has nothing to do with it, it detracts from the point of the realm blessings if only the main kingdom benefits from them.

Hunting...yes, please make a work on it. Archery in specific.
