A minor QoL suggestion.
Crops, when placed, have to be waited out. Premature uprooting (with no yield of any kind) in the event of misplaced/unwanted crops would be convenient.
If it's already a feature and I don't know, my bad pls delet.

Re: Destruction of crops
To my knowledge, it's partially left this way so that invaders can't grief your crops out of existence.
Not sure that's relevant given the SHP system that has been introduced though.

Re: Destruction of crops
I can imagine this is a problem for new players in a new world or something, but when there are crops literally everywhere it becomes a moot point.Sevenless wrote:To my knowledge, it's partially left this way so that invaders can't grief your crops out of existence.

And yeah the SHP system kind of changes annihilating fields. I've just got a few placed in a bad spot and want that remedied.

Re: Destruction of crops
Some players coming back later in the world or new players can harvest old corps and get seeds etc..
On top of that, it looks like when You visit and old abandoned/destroyed place and You see a lot of corps being just wild, unattended. Gives some deep meaning Ya know.

I agree that it would be sweet to be able to fix misplants, but I also like the fact that crops are otherwise relatively safe from griefing, as I perceive this having positive effects, especially early world.
If you really want to get rid of a crop you can -- protip -- construct a trellis over it and destroy the trellis.
Will consider.

first off, didn't know this, WoW
second, I think we should be able to "Raze crops" or at least "Burn fields" as it fits with the original spirit of haven and hearth. when I first came here, h&h was supposed to be this total hardcore social experiment where your actions truly did have consequences. now I feel you are turning away from this.
but that's another topic for another time. About the crop issue, I think "Burn fields" should not kill the crops but automatically cut their Q in half, and it's a 1 time thing.(all you need to do this is have a torch.) To "Raze crops" I would suggest having to mix 1 salt crystal or 1 brimstone and a full bucket of tar and then you could do the "Raze crops"
and the area effect could kinda be like how it works when you knock down a wall, the initial square is 100% affected, then every other square of crops that touch a burning tile has a 75% chance of getting lit.

Way to easy to grief people, so everyone will just turn to alt-vault loads of seeds. Would IMHO be a bad mechanic.joojoo1975 wrote:About the crop issue, I think "Burn fields" should not kill the crops but automatically cut their Q in half, and it's a 1 time thing.(all you need to do this is have a torch.)
Guaranteeing a 100% destruction for a field that isn't only one tile wide. Still way to easy.To "Raze crops" I would suggest having to mix 1 salt crystal or 1 brimstone and a full bucket of tar and then you could do the "Raze crops"

Please: no to this.

build a hidden base on L3 on another side of the world and build a tower filled with high quality crops thereSevenless wrote:it's partially left this way so that invaders can't grief your crops out of existence.
invaders could wait a few days and do it if they cared about it anyway
