Would also be awesome if crafting would take from nearby stockpiles too. It's annoying having to make cloth a few at a time even with t.sacks. Just make it so it highlights the stockpiles red or green or something easy to see.

No. I don't want to walk through my base and accidentally craft something from a stockpile that wasn't intended.
Open stockpiles I can see as reasonable, nearby ones are not.

Even open stockpiles can be tricky to handle - is it intenstines or entrails, or even pumpkin flesh?
