I would play this game if there was combat skill cap
Yeah I would enjoy this game if there was a combat skill cap around 300 and stat cap around 250. This way I could join anytime after the restart and know I still have a chance to keep up and I can fight raiders etc.

all depends on your convenience bonus... playing without any bonus amounts to exponential delay in your stats, base, mining... pvp in that case is crazy

We should keep eating high quality food for keeping our stats at the cap. So if we dont eat good shiet for a while our stats will be decrease so it will fix some problems i think

You can make all the excuses about why you would or wouldn't enjoy the game, but the truth is that you either do or don't and a change like this wouldn't matter. If you're skilled at combat, you can have lower stats and win. If you're not, it won't matter how many stats you have. You're going to get killed, either by wildlife or another player.Alurin wrote:Yeah I would enjoy this game if there was a combat skill cap around 300 and stat cap around 250. I say log in and play if you like the other aspects of the game. If you don't want to deal with the troubles of random PvP combat, find a faction that is stable to play with. Most have experienced fighters to deal with the combat.
If you have a developed character (enough INT for study attention), then yeah, otherwise it's going to be a lot longer, and that's still figuring you get a +150 bonus to your stat from various places. Without that bonus, it's going to be a lot more LP (upwards to 4x)Ozzy123 wrote:takes 1 day to get from 0 to 300
It is, at 1998 for practical combat purposes (assuming 999 base, +999 bonus). There is no actual limit you can raise it for the purposes of calculating quality. From viewtopic.php?f=39&t=52550ElGato wrote:There is a stat cap though

That's the last I saw on it.jorb wrote:We will aim to cap combat relevant stats -- Unarmed, Melee, Marksmanship, Strength, Agility, Perception & Constitution -- at base level 999, which can then be increased, with gear, to twice that, i.e. 1998. The stats will be capped for the purposes of combat, and comparisons against other players in other contexts, only, and you will still be able to level the actual numerical values up as far as you wish, for the purposes of quality and such-like.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Tbh, I think a stat cap of combat related stats should be something around 1400-1500Max since it takes a while to get to (Which is what grinders want, they want something they can spend time working on) but also allows them to reach a super strong level while letting the more casual players have a slow catchup with knowing they can't get much stronger (because gildlings are the only way after reaching cap).
Any Questions about the game or anything, hit me up on skype: deadlytroll1 Or you can find me in the hedgehug realm chat on discord.dafels wrote:I like to be under Frosty's command.

only if you're playing against a completely unskilled opponent. If both are skilled, being more skilled is irrelevant.
As far as I know this is false.MagicManICT wrote:It is, at 1998 for practical combat purposes (assuming 999 base, +999 bonus).
