Random butcher loot critique.

Post by Fostik »

As i started play haven, i was surprised the thing, that you can kill an animal, and take all loot of it.
I mean everything! Skin, meat, intensities, entrails, bones!
Nothing disappears like in Korean games, where kill a pig means that you will obtain 1 part of meat, and will be able to collect 3 parts to make 1 dish.

Well, now in haven there are some stupid random loot from butchering on new animals.
We are not speaking about teeth, claws, tusks - animals can lose it and live without.
But i can find a wolverine without scent gland - How does he hunting?
I can find a beaver without teeth - how does he eat? And a tail - how does he swimming and communicate with other beavers?
In the same time, adders always grants a fang, deer always have an antlers, mammoth always have both tusks.

Please, rebalance those things, but make them 100% granted on butchering, because this Korean random is not good for haven.

i like to think that you destroy the item during combat or butchering. but i agree, it's annoying to think only 'perfect' beaver tails/teeth or scent glands
same for rabbits, verrrry rarely do you get a lucky rabbit foot but always a squirrel tail

would enjoy a rebalance for the small animals. like something more unique to the fox

+1 to making beavers drop atleast 1 unique thing always

Lucky rabbits foot is rare because most rabbits caught were not lucky.

Thinked about it, but, ehm, when you have 300 surv, and over 300 melee - you can cut flying dragonfly's wings with sword, and butcher a bug.

Since those things are almost exclusively curiosities, I think of it as being simply that the scent glands/beaver teeth you get are particularly curious scent glands and beaver teeth. Every animal has them, but most of them aren't of such a nature as to strike your curiosity.

You should only get beaver teeth if you use knock it's teeth out during the fight
