I didn't understand this point: every poppy will give a poppy pod after a while? Or is there a new stage and poppy will either give or not give a pod? Does it make sense in a long wait? After what time after maturing, does not it make sense to wait? And the period of the pods is an intermediate time or a constant?

It seemed to me that once my Poppy crop reached it's normal final stage, it sat for a day or two and then very slowly and randomly began to hit the new Poppy Pod stage. Another villager unwittingly harvested our crop ,after it sat for 3-4 days on it's normal last stage. So, I was not able to watch the crop for a longer time. After all of that time, only about 1/5 of my crop had changed over to Poppy Pods.

I did not watch every pixel but, at a glance, I never noticed any new visual change to the crop tiles for Poppy Pods.

Already a few days have passed (real, not gaming) after maturing. Periodically I tear poppies for inspection, but I do not get pods. I do not understand if I wait a week after maturing - it will change anything at all and what will change (the chance of collecting pods will increase/decrease/will not change)? Or three days later, does not it make sense to wait for pods?
And why it was impossible to make poppy pods like hemp buds, where everything is simple, clear and obvious? After all, poppy pods - this is a harvest, and not a seldom and secret curiosity.

Poppy pods are an ordinary crop. The poppy has no secret phase and the chance of obtaining poppy pods should be 100%. Otherwise, it turns out nonsense.
