The USA's interference in the middle east definitely sped up the problem, but it was always going to end up going to shit. It was the catalyst, not the cause.Potjeh wrote:Fuck you and the horse you rode into town. This is all on USA, because you fuckers keep destabilizing the Middle East and creating these refugees in service of your holy petrodollar and your Israeli and Saudi friends. Why the fuck couldn't you leave Sadam and Gadaffi alone? Even in Syria Assad would've wrapped things up a long time ago if it wasn't for you fuckers. Frankly I'm starting to think we'd be better off if the Soviets won WW II on their own, at least their empire was bound to collapse.

I'm Australian but OK. Even if I was American I've never paid taxes so economically I've never played a part in it.Potjeh wrote:Keep telling yourself that while you keep giving hundred of billions in weapons to the worst regime there.

You can't really blame the US for the EURO doctine of inclusion. You can thank Merkel and her friends for their insistence of destroying any sense of European unity.Potjeh wrote:Fuck you and the horse you rode into town. who knew that import millions of unemployed people whose national average iq is 68 (somalia) and follow a barbaric, stone-age doctrine of rape and conquest (the entire horn of africa+ME) that actively causes widespread insurrection, death and suffering would go poorly?
refugees welcome btw, it's so terrible their countries are ruined by some nameless entity (themselves) so let's bring them all here

Re: German police preventing terror
You know, I think it's funny you'd mention the police stationed outside public transit. When I was in Guangzhou the transit police would wave a wand at you and let you pass. I even saw it beep a few times and they completely ignored it. When I was in Beijing they'd make you toss your bag in an xray scanner, I'm not sure what they were looking for but they never seemed to care. These guys were often in teams of 2-4 and god knows how many people passed them in a day. So, each subway stop usually had about 4 exits, one for each side of the intersection they were at. So, imagine this map:Pupsi wrote:

With tens of thousands of people traveling through every single exit it every day. How well do you think even your most vigilant public servant could remain?
edit: I highly recommend the KFC at Dongdan.

Re: German police preventing terror
@jorb: I get the view point. Things have been... less than ideal. Maybe your viewpoint is a bit skewed based on where you are from and who your leaders have been. I personally blame it all on the Italians and merchant class taking over various parts of Europe, if not in legal rule, than in cultural and economic power. This has been going on since at least the time of Marco Polo, and if truth be told, there was only a few hundred year hiccup in the pace of history since the establishment of the Roman Empire. The economic seat of power moved around Europe a few times based on who was the most open to freer markets than the last guy, and it eventually passed through the Dutch and to the US. Blame the Americans all you want, but maybe we wouldn't be here if it weren't for barbaric tribes from the north rampaging into and sacking Rome and Italy about 1500 years ago.
Maybe when you quit blaming others for problems you see the real issue is the Arabic/Persian Imperialism that has existed since the time of the Persian Empire. Muslims have been pillaged Europe and Central Asia for more than a thousand years. Couple that with all the crap that has gone on as a result of WWI and WWII.Potjeh wrote:Fuck you and the horse you rode into town. I won't testify to the effectiveness of public servants everywhere, but testing in the US of the TSA has shown only about a 10-15% effectiveness at stopping dangerous contraband (guns, bombs, drugs). I'm going to guess that's about average worldwide, might go up with more dilligence some, down with lack of effective technology.Onep wrote:With tens of thousands of people traveling through every single exit it every day. Re: German police preventing terror
The current problems caused by Muslims are *all* coming from one specific subsect - wahabis, which are proliferating thanks to the Saudi government (seriously, they're funding construction of wahabi mosques all over the world). Basically USA arms Saudis who in turn arm ISIS.
The thousands of years argument is BS, you could say the same thing about Swedes, or French, or virtually any European nation. Seriously, find me a century where Europeans weren't slaughtering eachother en masse. And it's not like Iran ever actually had a chance to develop into a peaceful country when you guys are so keen on regime changes.

By 'strange turns of history' you mean the two most catastrophic wars in history ultimately started by the very reasonable Weltpolitic of said regime? or are you thinking further back when under Robespierre, Barere et al the reasonable governements of Europe 'Made terror the order of the day'?jorb wrote:See, this is where you are wrong. There is not one sliver of the modern ideological programme which does not originate in the universities, think tanks, spookworks and lodges of the United States. Modernism is Americanism, and its hellscape of dissolution corresponds exactly to the borders of the American empire.
There's more to it than Islamic Fundamentalism like for instance the partitioning of Palestine which if looked at from their side you can kinda understand drawing parallels with the crusades. Agreed Saudi Arabia though is not the side we should be on, due to the human rights record as much as fundamentalist teaching. Personally I see any non-secular govenment as underdeveloped and I don't think that it is necessarily fair to expect the whole world to be evolved to the same degree.. just need to give them a a couple of hundred years to get over themselves, pity we've decided to be embroiled with them as they do so.Potjeh wrote:The current problems caused by Muslims are *all* coming from one specific subsect - wahabis, which are proliferating thanks to the Saudi government (seriously, they're funding construction of wahabi mosques all over the world). As someone that has experienced more than his fair share of entering and leaving the United States I can testify that their system is completely bonkers and not a good example. I tend to spend three-four hours on average being screened as a very risky British merchant seafarer who has a visa and has been through their system many times before and has never blown up anything while far shadier characters walk straight through.MagicManICT wrote:I won't testify to the effectiveness of public servants everywhere, but testing in the US of the TSA has shown only about a 10-15% effectiveness at stopping dangerous contraband (guns, bombs, drugs).
