Yes some people want wipe cuz it reason to start play or to start play again. And cant, cuz last world was exist 1 year.
Wipes is good practise for many games, there comes a lot of new and old players.

What if there's a small convenience bonus to the players whose claim/village lasted long enough to witness the wipe?

Would it incentive people to not quit the world and try to survive till the end?

Or would it increase the devastation, making players destroy others so no one gets a bonus next world?

Cosmetic, but not gameplay bonuses then i think it's a nice idea.

cosmetic can be stolen, but a small bonus helps player rebuild what they maintained for so long

only fear is if incentive siege before wipe

Interesting ... I have actually thought players should get a bonus (and I did think a cosmetic one) for lasting until the end of a world, like a loyalty bonus .. t-shirt saying "I survived Wx" sort of thing, though maybe a hat, lol.

And it would be account bound, as they are now, so theft wouldn't apply ... but yeah, I hadn't considered maybe that would be an excuse for further drama, I think if it was an ingame bonus then maybe it would ... interesting.

Allowing us to at least inherit our toons would put an end to the permanent "destroy everything others gained, so I can fail miserably again just like I did the last time" forums drama about world resets and would reward only those who did play over the years, not those who just whinned about not being the Gods of those who played.

Doesn't have to be something that can be stolen. Could be an alternative skin for village idol, great hall etc.

i guess because ima f2p i'd love a bonus to help rebuild all, but i see it could mess with business model, or even worse, incentive general destruction pre-wipe

Well, the player base on haven have been quite stable right now and a wipe could bring more players, but can move away some too. Nobody want to lose everything that they built until now. I really think that a wipe should happen ONLY IF they do something to slow down the character stats progression ( like some solution on hunger & satiations ) and combat changes.
