Knarr views

Post by spraysean »

Would be cool if the person on the top of a Knarr gets a boosted point of view. i.e. bigger map or something. Acts like a vantage point.

Split off from previous thread: off topic.

As far as the suggestion, it's a technical issue, the same one that we have for the limited field of view in the client currently.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

How about first person knarring????
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

That'd be neat. It would also be neat if you could see farther if you climbed a tree.

However, increasing the view distance is not a Mordor one simply walks into. This is a very long term ambition of ours.

Ideally if you're steering a knarr your client turns into a text base CYOA

Code: Select all

 you see a fork in the river. What do you do?

Go left
Go right
