I've seen a fair few people writing stuff out in paved tiles, that shows up fairly well...

Well, I dunno if something like 'Constantinople NW' would be legible without crossing multiple minimaps, but I suppose it doesn't matter if you're using some sort of cartography/mapping client/whatever. Or just willing to take a short hike.

I can vouch for written stuff working on maps, though. I remember quite a few back in the first world actually. (Wasn't there a 'jorb sucks' somewhere near-ish the RoB?)
