I think You completely misunderstand my question but after a hour or so of searching I found my answer.

Only from shoppe You can get a sketch page to change existing building visual material.

Yeah, and it can only be the shop purchased one, not one made from the forage item...

the other option is demo and rebuild and hope you got it right this time. Building previews should be helpful. Have just one of each basic building material of a certain type and the preview should show what the build looks like with those materials. For the buildings that can have multiple material combinations, you might need to try for each one and then visualize what it'll look like together in your head. Not sure if you found it in your searching, there is a demo tool around somewhere that can show you what buildings should look like when built with specific materials.

Hey Guys!

is there a mechanic upcoming, like a "spawn protection" for new chars?
i play hafen since w6 or w7 and had quit in july or so for this world. two weeks ago i created a new char to see all the new stuff, wich is awesome!

my problem atm is to survive more than 5 hours with one char, without getting killed by those 1000+ (or 3k+ whatever) stat people...
i created 4 chars now, all died by other players. two of them died after ~2 h.
thats a big problem, especially for new players i think.
i know that this game is a "hardcore survival mmo", but i can´t do much when a player comes by and just kills me.
a "spawn protection", until you have your first pclaim or joining a village would be a possibility'?

whats your thoughts about this?

sorray for my bad english...

greetings!

There is no protection for new characters. They're too easy to create and it could be easily abused for griefing. And really, it wouldn't be too much different for a guy with 50 stats to kill a fresh character than one with a billion stats.

Are you playing in the same spot or have you considered moving somewhere else on the map? It seems to me you might happen to be living in some murderous scoundrel's stomping grounds.

No, that means that the cave-in - should it happen - will be more localized; that is, it will be "more concentrated" on the cave-in spot instead of spreading around.
Essentially what this means is that you have higher chances to run from it, less debris to clean and lesser chances of destroying things around (like stockpiles)

Yes. You need to use a sketch when the knarr is first built that I'm aware. Using the store-bought sketchpads currently only works to change texture/colors of materials, not custom images on items that can use sketchpads.

so, if the knarr is already built, we have to build a new one ...

Sorry, I worded my answer poorly, but you did read that correctly. That is my understanding of the sketchpads.
