The point isn't increase in yield or better qualities, but the unnecessary tedium of managing crops so often. In real life harvests used to be a major social event every year. Maybe haven needs something like that too.

And here most farms then to have 2 farmers at top... sometimes more in bigger factions.

Get more people for the job or make smaller fields.

I agree.
With current system people just make huge fields and bot them.
Could as well make farming require less effort.

Agreed.

If it helps slow down the saturation of supply and encourage a bit more hunting and gathering, I'm all for it.

Agreed, though it might be best to hold it off until a world reset. People either bot the fields or leave them fully grown for days because they don't have time. Plus it would also mean slower ql gain, which would be good since crop ql quickly outpaces animals.

If people want more harvests they can always plant seperate fields 1 or 2 days apart.

I'd like this. Longer crop growth time would require better food management and timing. I'll push for carrots taking 10 days minimum, and scaling other crops based off that sort of increase. Harvesting less often for more keeps the core to farming the same, while decreasing the workload.
Not sure if many of you do much gardening/farming, but i'll let you know nothing in haven grows at a speed far beyond their real life counterparts. Carrots take less than 3 days to grow, so like 10 haven days max. Real carrots take 3 months to mature. Just for the sake of having things grow at a more normal speed i'd like this change. Sure, its a game, but farming is tedium incarnate irl and in game, so why make us harvest and replant more than necessary. Farming is one of the biggest factors to me burning out on the game.
Certainly any change like this should wait till a reset, but other than that I find it tough to understand why some oppose this. Other than they think its going to make the game too carebear...or they really like farming

Have considered this, especially since we've added effects to speed up the growth.
