-------------------------my personal biased thoughts on hunger
As a person with a 1% hunger table and a 650 charisma feast alt, when i feast hunger no longer matters, and i can eat as much as i want.
Feasting has undermined what was intended when the new hunger system was brought forth, it has made salt absolutely worthless and promoted botting, due to the ability to consume without any limit.
The disparity between a botter and a casual becomes..

Poll should hunger tables be changed?

Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I would give salt the pepper mechanic (grind and sprinkle over food) instead the insta-eat.
And stop multiplying the effects, the <1 numbers shrink too fast when used in that way. Better would be to use food%*(table%+feast%+salt%)/3 - with each % ranging from 100% (when fully ignoring the respective subsystem) to a minimum of 25% (for perfect reduction when using maximum quality of table/salt/alt, thus this should be theoretical numbers that can't actually be reached in practice as of diminishing returns).
This would lead to being able to consume four times the amount of food (comparing to snacking it in the field) when doing everything right, but not more - while avoiding hardcaps and increasing the demand for salt (as one would need way more to have the same effect).
This.Feasting has undermined what you intended when you brought forth the hunger bar, it has made salt absolutely worthless and promoted botting, due to the ability to consume without limit.

But if we remove feasting altogether or nerf it beyond belief people will bot salt? Not obvious black-white situation here.

well technically, they could bot cheese, since it's efficient, also you can't really bot salt. If salt gains value, people will fight for it, do u think a salt bot is gonna beat someones main?

They can just log in and instantly grab the salt form all the nodes while you alone on your main (if you have no friends or bots on your own) can camp effectively only 1 spot. And from what I've noticed, salt has global timer on all nodes which makes it even more ridiculous.

that's only because salt is almost worthless right now, so none competes for it, which lets alts pick salt if they want to. Do u think ur gonna steal a ageless ice with a alt with no combat? the answer is no because it's worth alot.

Personally I think salt is shit. It is just another thing that puts a hermit at a disadvantage, in that a hermit can't compete against a faction for the resource. Unless we're saying this game is not for hermits and that you're supposed to join a village, which would quite frankly be a bit of a shock to me.
I like the idea of hard-capping tables at 25% hunger modifier, but i would go much further than that because you can hit that cap in no time if the rest of the mechanics stand.
I would start by nerfing all symbols' hunger by 75% and FEP bonuses by 50%. I would nerf charisma bonuses by 90% and remove all feasting buffs from bonfires so that it has no more than cosmetic or larping value.

I would give it a lot less significant bonus, removing it completely would make some villages less... interesting.
Also, a lot of You complains about salt but doing a few quests a day I get more than from a salt. Yeah, consumes a little time but every-so-often gives a lot more too.

Re: feasting eliminates the hunger mechanic
I'd like feasting/tables to no longer have any impact on the hunger bar. I'd rather see it be shifted to boosting the amount of energy food gives. I don't think it should go farther than doubling the energy of any food item. As for salt, it could just be a FEP modifier, or reduce hunger of specific food items. The point here is to reduce the amount needed to maintain high energy, rather than increase the amount you can shove in your mouth without leaving ravenous.
