would be nice if the click box on it was bigger can think of so many times i clicked and instead of going up he went behind it and got his shit kicked in by 10 slimes that surround the ladder :roll:

p.s. its fucking infuriating seeing them smash your 10 ore stockpiles for no good fucking reason when they spawn in.

Build wider tunnels.

Click box is the actual object, so unless the ladder itself would get bigger...

the character goes exactly behind the ladder tho. is the openings in the ladder not counted as a click box?

No, only the solid parts of the item itself.

Usual escape is to shift+LMB to run toward the ladder, then RMB the ladder repeatedly (so you'll hit it at least once) - RMB that miss it and hit the ground will be ignored (unless you have objects near the ladder that are interactable with RMB).
