i would like to be able to put metal tools, armor, symbels etc into a smelter or something, and melt them down into metal nuggets or bars.

only if we make armor weapon and tool degradation a thing and allow us to repair them with said items. Of course lowering the qa if repaired with something of lesser qa. I still hold true that a pseudo wound system for weapons and armor would be neat.

iv'e always wanted the same thing. no need for quality degrade tool repair or any bullshit. there are plenty of uses for metal that consume said metal.

The issue with no quality degrade if you do this is it makes it easy to buy gear from a player who grinded out their metal quality for a long time and easily melt this gear down to make your own of equal or better quality and I think some players would dislike that.

Halfed or something by it initial quality so we avoid making shit metal turn magically into very good quality metal.
