Killing animal in shalow water bug

Post by Sany_CZ »

If you kill animal in shallow water, its elevation became stuck. So it falls underground, like if it was submerge when moved.
Picture of bear corpse that i killed, still looks like its underwater, even on normal land.
Edit: skinning the animal fixed it, but still may be a problem.

Will look at it. Thanks.

Submerged animal (height offset problem)

Post by VanVillo »

Good time, Dear Dev's and All.

After last update (Hookah Vines) I've noticed some strange thing. Seems it is connected to *height offset applied when in water* rework.
Situation: I was told to shoot a deer. Ok, I've waited for a red deer dude to come and drink some from river. I've made a hole in his back with an arrow. He died and beautifully submerged in water (as intended). I've lifted him, teleported, and droped the corpse in front of a storage.
! And this is what happened (screens attached). Seems after beend submerged in water on his death some *height parametr* was attached to the corpse and now it submerges in everything (creepy!)
This have not happend before, coz some dudes already followed the same way as this deer by my own hands, and everything was ok.
And it seems not to be intended to be normal. I myself can live with this, but someone more aesthetics may have a heart attack.

P.S. 1. Sry for my english if smth is wrong.
2. I've serched forums, but have not found any relative topic (aside from update itself). Sry, if I'm blinded.
3. I'm using Amber. For some creepy reason i cannot lounch raw Java standart client on my creepy laptop (well it's another story) so i have not tested this bug on standart client, but i guess it's more complex than just Amber bug.

Merged identical issues.

Adjusted name of thread to reflect the issue

I think it is a visual glitch. This happened to me today as well. Logged out of my hunter and into my main and animal was positioned correctly on the ground.

If you put the corpse in a container first, a boat for example, you can place it normally on the ground afterwards.
