Yes, there is a very clear and consistent message coming from the American Left...That is the only consistency in any of the American left's positions.American Left wrote: President Trump can do no good. The enemy of President Trump, no matter how vile, is my friend. The friend of President Trump, no matter how pure of intent or righteous of action, is my enemy. If he does what we wanted President Obama to do, we no longer want it done. If he does what we said he should do, we no longer want it done. President Trump is the ultimate evil!

Just for the records, I'm reading here and there we are the defenders, we need an army to defend, etc.. etc.. when the reality is we are the attackers, at least so far.
It's easier that one can think of: money, cheap labour or cheap primary resources .... that's it.
Some years ago we understood cheap labour don't work cause it brings to civil war, so here we go, cheap resources from colonies it's the soulution, destroying whole countries economies, causing wars, etc... etc... to be sure we can do the fuck we want with their resources, that's it.
We are not living in "democracy" cause the humans rights as far as we don't invade others countries cause "humans rights" ... simply cause it works, and everything that works at some point will be employed. Is it good? or is it bad? not interesting, human condition is not relevant anymore nowdays, why? cause we are dumb and we haven't learned from the past.

[quote="Karede" I don't think we were ever at risk of becoming majority Irish or Italian.[/quote]
My high school history teacher was big into the "post war" era of the 20s going into the depression. From what I recall reading on some of our assignments of the period, the amount of hysteria going on now rivals what was in the papers then. The difference is the way it's worded. Now it's even more loaded to stir strong emotion and create some form of panic. Then it was loaded with racist slurs and bigotry. (Not saying it isn't now, just not so overt and that usually isn't considered mainstream media sources.)
And we're not at risk of becoming a majority Latino, specifically Mexican. What the country is "in danger of" is becoming "minority White." Malcolm X had the right words about that... "by any means necessary," though I don't think he pictured it in quite the manner it is resolving. How many white people in this country today can identify some sort of heritage in their family other than European? If people knew their family history, they might be surprised.

More than you might think. My Father is Scott/Irish and Cherokee. My mother Cajun (Acadian exiles of French heritage from Acadia, Canada) and Blackfoot. Many "white" Americans have red, brown, yellow, and even black in their ancestry.MagicManICT wrote:...How many white people in this country today can identify some sort of heritage in their family other than European? Touche'. Would that be the other consistent message of the American Left or the other part of the same "President Trunp is evil" message?Karede wrote:He's actually just giving you the consistent message of the left.CaddoPuma wrote:That's a culturally myopic, racist, conservative-phobic, bigoted thing to say.Onep wrote:We just need to culturally enrich all those red States with more diversity. And yet all this anti-immigrant sentiment in this country. When I was a child, almost a third of the country could claim they were the children or grandchildren of immigrants. I wonder what that number is now.CaddoPuma wrote:More than you might think. My Father is Scott/Irish and Cherokee. I probably worded that poorly. I was thinking more along the lines of "how many would be surprised to learn this fact."
War has many forms. It's fought by many means before it actually comes to bombs and bullets.CaddoPuma wrote:Izzat so? Exactly whom did we attack, and when?
There's some things here I want to bring up, but not going to. That ends up leading to crazy-town... to quote Dr. Peter Venkman: "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!"CaddoPuma wrote:the same "President Trunp is evil" message?

The use of quotes is critical for one to know to what you are replying in cases where the context of your reply doesnt seem at all relevant to anything in the conversation which precedes it.sMartins wrote:Western European colonialism and colonization
There is actually very, very little "anti-immigrant sentiment in this country." What is being labelled by the opposition as "anti-immigrant sentiment in this country" is actually anti-illegal-entry (also known as trespassing when it happens on private property, invasion when it happens on a nation's borders) sentiment (also known as a passion for law-and-order, national sovereignty, the rule of law, and national borders) in this country.MagicManICT wrote:CaddoPuma wrote: And yet all this anti-immigrant sentiment in this country...

While this is absolutely true, it's not an answer to the question. And I was really expecting the answer - or non-answer, as the case may be - to come from the person who posited the false premise which elicited the question. But since you've already taken it upon yourself to reply on his behalf, please feel free to give an actual answer. Whom has America attacked? When? How?MagicManICT wrote:War has many forms. lol ... probably even an entire human life would not be enough to answer that question.
