My sausage need some love.

I think sausages have lost their value compared to other food items.
Farming with its constant quality increase makes the sausages nearly useless when comparing stats/hunger.
Cheese is off the charts, with its stats but for good reason, the time it takes to make, so it is good.
Sausages are only good in early world, so i think they need a little remake or something to add to their value.

I would suggest new food types that use sausages and get unique stat/hunger depending on what sausage was used.
Having a stick in your hand gives you the option to roast it over a fire and a fun little animation where the heartling is doing it.
The fire roasted sausage gets the Sizzling buff added to it or something.
Sausage buns should be added, can be combined with any sausage, Sizzling or not.

you hinted it at already but looking closer at the infinitely growing crop qualities might be the way to go in order to make sausages great again

Some stews or such using sausages. A "cheese, sausage, & wine" dish, maybe (or beer or whatever). Some baked dishes... the chantrelle & onion pirozhi comes to mind as a base concept that already exists but could be expanded upon, but don't forget "casserole" type dishes that have been around forever and a day.

Allow sausages to count as a "meat" type in variable dishes that could create some really interesting combinations for FEPs.

Cheese could use a bit of nerfing IMO. It was developed back when we saw the top qualities at 200 or so, not 2000+. That could make sausage a bit more of an option.

sausages are disgusting to mass produce, mostly one which takes 8types of meat (we need to breed hedgehogs)
also screwed up by adding forage into the recipes
