Did you try the audiobuf workaround from page 5?

I am having the exact same issue. Reading the afore posts, I set: :audiobuf 2048 and the problem was solved.

I got it working now at 2048 as well, at first I thought I needed a special client. Thanks!

It's a console command from within the game. Type it as is. Make sure it doesn't go into the chat window. You open the console by typing the colon. The rest can be manually entered or copy-pasted. If 2048 still stutters for you, you can try bumping up to 4096 or higher.

I thought this is due to the fact my client downloads sound resource only when needed and if the net is not fast enough, it gets stuttered. 2nd or 3rd time the same sound is used, it's not stuttered anymore. I'll try the :audiobuf 2048 if I ever encounter this again.

As a rule of thumb, everything that makes life easyer and less boring/grinding for players is a great idea. Everything that makes the game harder is crap coming from sadistic tendencies of Jorbtar helped by the few players with the same kind of disorders.

On 8chan thread:
I get micro stutters evey 2-3 seconds, even the sound stutters. Anyone else had to deal with this and is there a fix ? I'm using the last version of java with the last version of the amber client.

I instructed poster to use :audiobuff 2048 and they responded
It worked to an extent, not silky smooth but playable at least.
