I'm especially proud of the first paragraph, and dare to suggest (that after some peer-review) it should be copied into every fish page. What kind of fish you catch is determined by map data. If you can't catch certain type of fish, despite trying many times with correct bait, you need to find a different spot. Fishing page contains information of baits known to work with each fish.
According to current data on the Fishing page, best place to catch Plaice will be a river or shallow lake near a swamp that provides Bloated Leech. This way you can have practically infinite bait, limited only by your Hitpoints and time it takes for leeches to bite your character. Be careful when letting Leeches attach or putting them on, as you can run out of SHP (the first of three numbers on your lifebar) and get knocked out, gaining Concussion damage (also debuffing your Abilities) and Leech Burns if there are hungry, unbloated leeches still attached to your character. You can remove unbloated leeches as long as your character is not knocked out. Leeches attach to your empty equipment slots, meaning you can get naked to quickly acquire leeches or fully equip yourself to prevent them from attaching. Notably, bloated leeches can be used to block fresh ones as they won't become unbloated (and hungry) again unless removed.

Re: Ring of Brodgar Wiki
My response to a topic about early-game perception gain expanded into an edit to a Plaice page.

Re: Ring of Brodgar Wiki
If there will be a conversation for this then i repeat here:
totally disagree for this, there is fishing page where guide should be - if you want to clarify fishing, update it instead, no point to just copypaste info on every fish page
and there is outdated info that you use for guide
additional info for bloated leeches? why? there is million other baits, that should be mentioned then, dragonfly, grasshopers, entrails from chickens - much more easy to obtain and safe for a new guy
and don't forget about another fishing pole and nets
this is overwhelmed information for my opinion, only first paragraph might be necessary

You have good points, I got bit ahead of myself. Point of putting a guide on Plaice page was that everybody seems to tell newbies to simply catch and eat them. I still think every fish page should have at least "see Fishing page proper for more info" hint. Also worth noting I have no idea is Fishing page itself is accurate/up-to-date.

The fishing at all need to be hardly updated - it's just a copy from legacy with minor editsvatas wrote:You have good points, I got bit ahead of myself. Re: Ring of Brodgar Wiki
It does, it's just another factor, though, and there's not as much a "given location" as there was in legacy. Even in legacy, you had a chance, even if small, to catch fish out of their habitat.KitsuneG wrote:I doubt that Lake\River Depts\shalows actually work now, looks like its just node based
As far as information for specific fish, some are attracted to specific baits and tackle. If anyone had somewhat accurate information on this (not just the "it works for me" type of information), it probably wouldn't hurt to be on the individual fish page, probably more specifically on the Talk page so that it is at least there for people to read through.

Re: Ring of Brodgar Wiki
Just a side note - would be nice to have some consistency between fishing page and pages for individual fishes (I just thing that having individual pages for fishes is the very reason the inconsistency exists). Zope is an example I stepped on. Fishing page says it lives in shallow waters. Zope page says it lives in deep waters. My experience says that fishing page is more correct if we talk fishing by rods but you can catch a zope using fishing net which is obviously in the deeps.MagicManICT wrote:If anyone had somewhat accurate information on this (not just the "it works for me" type of information), it probably wouldn't hurt to be on the individual fish page, probably more specifically on the Talk page so that it is at least there for people to read through.
But as it's hard to know for sure what is truth it's hard to fix the wiki...

Due to announce of the new world.
If you find something new, or you know that something changed a lot - feel free to edit, post here or find me on Haven and Hearth discord in wiki channel, or directly by nickname.
P.S. the best option to say about the new item, craft recipe or structure - screenshot (also it would be good proof).

I'd do this myself, but I'm not entirely sure how. Any way we can mass tag food items that FEP and satiation values may be incorrect until updated with the start of the new world? Didn't see anything in the notes about curios getting a rebalancing, but they might need it, too.

Well i guess 3 options:MagicManICT wrote:but I'm not entirely sure how.
1. {{stub}} on the top of the page
2. {{verify}} - but it less noticable for ordinary users.
3. Try to ask MvGulik personally what else he can offer..
both pretty good to help us tracking what is updated and what is not.

Re: Ring of Brodgar Wiki
I was thinking of something with the [[Category:<food>]] tag. Seems like there was something that could be done on this so it was always added to a page.
1. Would require manual entry on each page, yes? Could be confusing as to what needs done, too.
2. It has the same issues.
I did find this: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Template:Outdated. The question I have is more about updating all the pages in a category without manually doing so, which the last time this came up--legacy pages--the answer was at the admin level and a background script.
