Aqueducts would be nice.

+1 I like it. Besides those plumbings/aqueducts can serve as conveyors for some stuff, like it works with transportation of wood by rivers. In a form of walkable ground tiles perhaps? Anyway I'd love to see living breathing water features in our villages. :)
And here I should apologize for my spelling... But I won't! Deal with it :P

http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Log_driving This is an interesting read, which I could see being interesting mechanic in Hafen. In order for it to work, currents would need to be implemented in to the game.

Yea, would be time for this ... Jun 15, 2010:

With current please, and the ability to drop logs into them upstream to pull them out later when they pass by your village.

Water speed should be dependant on river width, so we can have rapids (hard to travel in the wrong direction) and quite still lakes in other places.
