I don't think we have enough new players entering for that to be beneficial. Most likely players will log on, see an empty game world, and leave.

Also I don't think the problem for new players is getting murdered or thieved from, I think it's just basic learning complicated systems and UI short cuts, which is far better served by having more experienced players around.

Well theres always a player solution. I used to hide behind the ring of brogdor, as you know. I also used to message newbies and talk to them and give them pointers on where to begin. Most of them hated the UI but stayed around after I told them what to look for an do.

Aka Look for a tree make campfires, then buy lumberjacking and go chop trees.

Okay, if all your griefing was this clever I'd have a hard time resenting you.

No seriously. When I was a newbie I was convinced lumberjacking was the best least working way to make LP. Since its 50 per a tree and you can just go read a webpage while its being chopped. Look at the posts about lumberjacking around camp noctis. That was the first area full of trees we ever saw.

People have done this. I mean, look at the forests north of the ring. (Maybe not the one RIGHT north of the ring... I dunno). Lumberjacking DOES give quite a bit of LP. I recently got 10k without noticing it (with full change, granted) while chopping down trees to make room for more in my growing forest.
